DAY 1. Arrival at Cochin, Moving towards Munnar

Arrive at Cochin and get greeted by your hotel representative from Cochin Airport or Ernakulum Railway Station. Kickstart your tour by moving towards Munnar, a famous hill station on the Western Ghats. En route to Munnar, treat your eyes with the breathtaking scenic beauty. You can halt your vehicle on the Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls and Pothanmedu viewpoint. Also, visit the spice gardens. Reaching Munnar, check into your hotel or resort. Spend a leisurely evening. Enjoy the food, get some rest and do some homework for your upcoming trip.

DAY 2. Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast, step forward to explore the major attractions at Munnar. Must-visit places include Munnar Top Station, Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, Echo Point, Photo Point and if time permits, also visit Blossom Park. Plan the visiting spots based on the amount of time you want to invest in sightseeing and how much your stamina permits. Overnight stay at Munnar hotel or resort.

DAY 3. Munnar to Thekkady

Check out from the hotel after breakfast and commence your journey towards Thekkady. Check into a hotel or resort after reaching and go for a boat cruise at the Periyar Lake. After lunch, explore the other attractions of Periyar National Park by embarking on a jeep safari or an elephant safari and Abraham’s Spice Plantation. Retreat to your lodge. Get a sound sleep after dinner to wipe off the day’s exhaustion.

DAY 4. Thekkady to Alleppey

Check out from Thekkady and start for Alleppey. Arrival at Alapuzha (Venice of the East) brings you beaches, backwaters, lagoons, canals and many more. Check in to a houseboat for an overnight stay to wander along the ripples of the backwaters. The houseboat cruise in Alleppey is something that cannot be missed. Ripping apart the backwater, the houseboats take the tourists on a magical voyage. Houseboats at Alleppey are available on various budget ranges and comprise rooms ranging from one to more than ten. Houseboats are categorised under standard, deluxe, luxury and premium with spacious rooms and windows open to a mesmerising view of the banks of backwaters dotted with coconut trees, villages and so on. DAY 5. Bid Goodbye

Check out from the houseboat. After breakfast head back to Cochin Airport or Ernakulum Railway Station to wind up the memorable trip. Depending on the departure time you can also go for some local shopping or sightseeing. Mullakkal Raja Rajeswari Temple, Marine Drive and Lullu Mall can be included for the days’ sightings.
